Deutsch-Drahthaar breeders must meet specific requirements as set forth and be registered by VDD in Germany in order to produce litters registered by VDD. Dogs used in producing VDD registered litters must be certified for breeding by meeting the VDD breed standards through a series of performance tests and coat/conformation evaluations.
